Khielea Bodkin London ON Obituary, KMB Hair Studio Stylist Has Died

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and heartbreaking passing of Khielea Bodkin, of London, Ontario, who left this world far too soon on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the age of 35. Her passing at LHSC – Victoria Hospital has left her family, friends, and community deeply shaken, as they mourn the loss of a vibrant soul whose energy, laughter, and love touched so many lives.

Khielea was the devoted and proud mother of her two beloved boys, Logan and Lex Bodkin, who were the center of her universe. Everything she did—every long day, every hard decision, every burst of joy—was for them. She was an incredible co-parent and partner to Sean, and together they built a loving, supportive environment for their children, rooted in care and respect.

Born in Romania, Khielea was the cherished daughter of Tom and Sherry (Froats) Bodkin, who adored her deeply and admired her fiery spirit and determination. She was the beloved sister and sister-in-law of Mikaela and Luke Vandenberk, and a much-loved aunt to River and Storm, who adored her playful spirit and creative energy. Khielea is now reunited in peace with her grandparents, Gordon and Marion Froats, and Leo and Janet Bodkin, who preceded her in death.

Khielea was known for her larger-than-life personality, her infectious laugh, and a heart of gold that left a mark wherever she went. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel special—often going out of her way to bring joy, share laughter, or surprise someone with a small gift just to see them smile. Her friends and clients alike remember her as someone who lit up every room she entered and who never failed to bring warmth, humor, and positivity into their lives.

A woman of immense creativity and talent, Khielea poured her heart into her work as a professional hairstylist and salon owner. She was deeply respected in her field, known for her artistry, technical skill, and eye for beauty. She competed in hair color competitions, crafted stunning up-dos, and inspired others in the beauty industry with her passion and boldness. Her artistry wasn’t just about style—it was about helping people feel confident, beautiful, and seen.

Outside of work, Khielea embraced life with an adventurous spirit. She loved music, travel, and had an especially deep affection for Halloween, which she celebrated with joy and creativity every year. Her love of self-expression extended to every corner of her life, from her bold aesthetic to her generous heart.

Yet, behind her radiant smile, Khielea faced her own struggles—battles with herself and at times with others. She didn’t always see the beauty and strength in herself that those around her saw every day. But even through hardship, she remained resilient, funny, strong-willed, and deeply caring. Those who loved her will forever cherish the light she brought into their lives and the lessons she unknowingly taught about courage, compassion, and authenticity.

Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and care team at LHSC – Victoria Hospital CCTC for their extraordinary compassion and care during her final days.

A celebration of Khielea’s life will be held on Sunday, October 26th, from 1–5 PM at the Lucan Community Centre (multi-purpose hall), 263 Main Street, Lucan, with words of remembrance at 2 PM. Cremation has taken place.
